Setting & Evaluating Employee Expectations

In this workshop, we’ll explore ways to make expectations clear, measurable, and collaborative with those we supervise. We’ll focus on approaches that are trauma informed and mindful of the dynamics that positional power creates in our work relationships. Finally, participants will receive ideas and tangible tools so they can start to use these practices in their supervisory relationships.

Reimagining Power at Work

This workshop will focus on both positional and personal power, and how leaders can use their power to create collaboration and facilitate trust. We’ll unpack how power, hierarchy, and what Tema Okun coined as “White Supremacy Culture Characteristics” back in 1999, gets in the way of our ability to foster trusting relationships with others. We’ll also explore definitions and examples of power that will better link us to practices of justice and equity.

In this workshop, we’ll discuss strategies and share tools for having difficult conversations at work, all from a foundation of trauma-informed approaches and the liberation of all people.
