No matter how passionate a staff member is about your mission, a bad experience with a manger or supervisor can drive even the most talented staffer out of your organization. Without a team you can rely on, your important mission work isn’t possible.

Building and Sustaining Engaged and Productive Boards Workshop

The relationship between a nonprofit’s staff and their board of directors is vital for a functional nonprofit, yet there is no finite guidebook on how to do this well. By definition, board members are normally volunteers, and may not have a full understanding of what their role is. At the same time, nonprofit staff often struggle to understand the board’s role and how to engage them in a meaningful way. Without help, this important relationship can at best be confusing, and at worst, create additional stress and tension.
